As we continue to transform and modernise our estate, we're looking for a highly motivated Route Facilities Manager to help provide safe, compliant and efficient workplaces across the region.

As Route Facilities Manager, you'll support the Regional Property & Facilities Manager in delivering facilities management services across a diverse portfolio of operational and corporate properties. You'll play a key role in ensuring our buildings remain safe, compliant, sustainable and fit for purpose while delivering an excellent customer experience.

This is a varied role that combines facilities management, contractor management, compliance assurance, project delivery and stakeholder engagement.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Deliver and continuously improve facilities management services across the Route estate.
  • Manage and monitor contractor performance across both hard and soft FM services.
  • Support the operation and maintenance of building services, including HVAC, Mechanical & Electrical systems and Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations relating to fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos management and workplace health and safety.
  • Undertake building inspections, audits and site visits across the Route.
  • Support the delivery of asset renewals, workplace improvements and facilities projects.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and suppliers to drive service excellence.
  • Monitor expenditure, manage budgets and identify opportunities to improve value for money.
  • Maintain property and asset data to support future investment and estate planning decisions.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure safe systems of work are always followed.

Essential

Your experience and skills

  • Holder of NEBOSH or relevant health and safety qualifications
  • Proven experience in facilities management
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable

  • British Institute of Facilities Management member
  • Proven contract management skills
  • Proven experience of managing complex budgets
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Knowledge of policies and standards relating to office accommodation
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Full driving licence
