About this role

Security Analyst – Cloud & AI Security

Type: Permanent - Hybrid in office

We're looking for a Security Analyst with a strong technical background across AWS, DevOps and Platform Engineering to help secure modern cloud and AI-driven environments.

This role is centred around hands-on security analysis, threat identification, vulnerability management and cloud security, working closely with Platform and DevOps teams to identify risks and strengthen security controls across AWS infrastructure and emerging AI services.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Monitor and analyse security events across AWS environments, identifying potential threats, vulnerabilities and suspicious activity.
  • Investigate security incidents and support response, remediation and root-cause analysis.
  • Assess cloud infrastructure, configurations and deployments for security risks and recommend appropriate controls.
  • Work closely with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to embed security into cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
  • Review IAM policies, permissions, networking and AWS configurations to identify misconfigurations and security gaps.
  • Perform vulnerability analysis and help prioritise remediation based on risk and business impact.
  • Support security across AI workloads and services, including Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore components.
  • Assess potential security risks associated with AI applications, agents, data access and integrations.
  • Help automate security checks and remediation across infrastructure and CI/CD processes.
  • Contribute to security standards, controls and ongoing improvements to the organisation's overall cloud security posture.
  • Support incident response and on-call processes where required.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong commercial experience working with AWS and securing cloud environments.
  • Previous experience within DevOps, Platform Engineering or Cloud Engineering, with a move towards or strong involvement in security.
  • Hands-on understanding of AWS security, including IAM, networking, logging, monitoring and infrastructure security.
  • Experience analysing security alerts, vulnerabilities and cloud security risks.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and modern cloud deployment practices.
  • Exposure to Amazon Bedrock and an understanding of AI/agent-based architectures, including AgentCore components.
  • Ability to work closely with engineering teams and translate security findings into practical remediation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a security-first mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to observability and monitoring platforms.
  • Experience with incident management and on-call tooling.
  • Security certifications across AWS, cloud or cyber security.
  • Experience securing GenAI, LLM or agentic AI workloads.

The Opportunity

This would suit a Security Analyst who comes from a strong Cloud/DevOps background rather than someone focused purely on traditional SOC monitoring. You'll be working across AWS, cloud security and emerging AI technologies, with the opportunity to help shape how modern AI workloads are secured in production.
