Krypton FM Group is a growing UK-based facilities and support services organisation providing Security, Facilities Management, Cleaning, Concierge, Property Maintenance and related services to clients across the UK.

As our portfolio of contracts and client sites continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced and organised Security Operations Manager to join our Operations team.

This role is responsible for ensuring the effective day-to-day delivery of security services across multiple client locations, while maintaining high standards of operational performance, compliance, health and safety and customer service.

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Security Operations Manager to lead our security team in safeguarding our facilities, personnel, and assets. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all security operations, ensuring a safe and secure environment through proactive management, surveillance oversight, and incident response. Your leadership will drive the development and implementation of security strategies, foster a culture of vigilance, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of security services across multiple client sites.
  • Coordinate security officer deployment, staffing levels, rotas, shift coverage and workforce requirements.
  • Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, performance and adherence to contractual requirements.
  • Supervise security personnel and provide operational direction, guidance and support.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess service delivery, security standards and compliance.
  • Deliver operational briefings and ensure security officers understand their duties and site-specific requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with SIA licensing requirements, staff training and relevant compliance records.
  • Maintain and monitor Assignment Instructions (AIs), site procedures and company operating standards.
  • Ensure security operations comply with relevant UK legislation, health and safety requirements and GDPR obligations.
  • Investigate security incidents, complaints, operational issues and breaches of procedure.
  • Coordinate emergency responses and ensure incidents are escalated and managed appropriately.
  • Prepare clear and accurate incident, operational and management reports.
  • Identify operational weaknesses and recommend appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
  • Conduct and support security risk assessments and identify operational risks across client sites.
  • Support the mobilisation of new security contracts, including staffing, procedures, documentation and operational readiness.
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients and attend regular operational and performance meetings.
  • Monitor contractual KPIs, service levels and operational performance against agreed standards.
  • Work with clients and internal teams to resolve service issues and implement operational improvements.
  • Provide regular management reports covering staffing, compliance, incidents, KPIs, risks and service performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve security service quality, efficiency and client satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in security management or a related field with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operations, and threat detection techniques
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to document incidents clearly and accurately
  • Certified in first aid or willing to obtain certification upon hire; understanding of emergency medical procedures is a plus
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively during emergencies or security breaches
  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise with team members, emergency responders, and senior management
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently

Essential

  • Previous experience in security operations, security management, contract management or a similar role.
  • Experience supervising or managing security officers and operational teams.
  • Good understanding of UK security industry requirements and SIA licensing.
  • Experience managing staff rotas, deployment and attendance.
  • Strong understanding of security procedures, Assignment Instructions and operational compliance.
  • Experience conducting site inspections and monitoring service standards.
  • Ability to investigate incidents and produce accurate written reports.
  • Good understanding of health and safety and workplace security requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional client relationships.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital reporting systems.

Desirable

  • Experience managing security operations across multiple client sites.
  • Experience within facilities management, security services, corporate security or related industries.
  • Experience supporting the mobilisation of new security contracts.
  • Experience conducting security risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and information-handling requirements within security operations.
  • Experience monitoring contractual KPIs and SLAs.
  • Previous experience working with commercial, corporate or public sector clients.
  • Relevant security management or operational qualifications.

Pay: £35,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
