Security Operations Manager – Sovereign SOC

Full-time onsite in Birmingham

Are you ready to lead in one of the most demanding and rewarding security environments in the UK? We are seeking a Security Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Sovereign Security Operations Centre (SOC), housed in a large, dedicated facility designed for resilience and scale. You’ll serve prominent UK organizations with premium listings and stringent security requirements.

What you'll be doing;

  • Lead and Inspire: Manage a team of skilled analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Client-Facing Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment between security operations and business priorities.
  • Drive Operational Performance: Oversee service delivery, incident response, and operational efficiency within established frameworks.
  • Strategic Oversight: Balance hands-on technical engagement with high-level planning to maintain a robust security posture.
  • Innovate Under Pressure: Navigate complex threat landscapes and regulatory requirements while ensuring high availability of services.

  • 5 years + experience in SOC operations, incident response, and security frameworks.
  • A passion for interesting and challenging work in a high-stakes environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage people, process, and technology.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities for client engagement.
  • Comfort operating in environments where every decision matters.
