About this role

Healthcare Security Supervisor Reporting to: Healthcare Security Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Healthcare Security Supervisor to support the delivery of a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues.

In this role, you will support the Healthcare Security Manager in leading a team of Security Officers, ensuring security and car parking services are delivered to the highest standards. You will be responsible for incident management, staff supervision, access control, CCTV operations, patrols, emergency response, and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the hospital site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of Security Officers.
  • Respond to security, fire, and emergency incidents.
  • Provide guidance and support in challenging situations, including conflict management and de-escalation.
  • Manage access control, ID systems, key control, CCTV, and lost property processes.
  • Complete incident investigations and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with security procedures, health & safety requirements, and service standards.
  • Support staff training, development, and performance management.
  • Build positive relationships with hospital departments and stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid Frontline SIA Licence.
  • Valid First Aid Qualification.
  • Previous security supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Good IT skills and report-writing ability.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing incidents effectively.

Desirable Requirements

  • SIA CCTV Licence.
  • NHS or healthcare security experience.
  • Patient restraint qualification.
  • Security or Leadership qualification (Level 3 or above).
  • Knowledge of counter-terrorism, NHS security guidance, and car parking operations.
