Senior Advisor Governance

An opportunity has become available for a motivated individual to join the Business Continuity Management team as a Senior Advisor, Governance within the GRA Enterprise Risk & Compliance team.

  • Temporary opportunity until 24 August 2028
  • Clerk grade 9/10, Salary $133,348 - $146,945 per annum plus super

This role supports the Business Continuity Manager to strengthen the department’s resilience, readiness and governance practices across business continuity and crisis management. It will suit someone who is organised, collaborative and able to work across stakeholders to deliver practical outcomes in a dynamic environment.

In this role you will

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business continuity and crisis management priorities and challenges, manage issues and support resolution
  • Prepare and present briefings, committee papers, reports and governance documentation to support informed decision making
  • Support the uplift of business continuity and crisis management governance practices and continuous improvement
  • Work collaboratively across teams and functions to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes
  • Contribute to a capable and professional team environment
  • Support business continuity activities, including planning, documentation, training and exercise design and delivery
  • Assist with incident and crisis response coordination, including governance, reporting and resource support.

To be successful in this role

You will have strong stakeholder management skills, sound judgement, attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to:

  • Manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
  • Analyse issues and provide practical, well-reasoned solutions
  • Communicate clearly for different audiences
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and confidentiality
  • Deliver work aligned to best practice

You will also bring experience in business continuity and crisis management, including:

  • Documentation review and analysis
  • Training and awareness
  • Exercise planning and delivery
  • Incident and crisis response support
