Overview

Your incident response and risk management experience from policing could inform the cyber security aspects of this role, such as developing incident response plans and business continuity processes. However, the core of this job is hands-on cloud engineering with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Defender, requiring deep technical certifications and years of specialised IT experience that most ex-police officers do not have. Without a strong background in cloud architecture and security frameworks, you would struggle to meet the technical demands of this senior position.
