Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive, people-focused Senior Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations for mixed-use and residential assets. This role blends hands-on operational management with a leadership mindset - ensuring every building runs smoothly, sustainably, and with care for those who call it home. We are able to offer immediate start for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Maintenance Management

· Oversee daily building operations and presentation standards.

· Coordinate maintenance programs, contractor performance and compliance.

· Ensure adherence to WHS, fire safety and building regulations.

Resident & Stakeholder Engagement

· Be the trusted point of contact for residents, tenants and committees.

· Deliver proactive, empathetic communication and prompt issue resolution.

Sustainability & Energy Efficiency

· Drive energy efficiency, waste reduction and sustainable practices.

· Support NEWERA's environmental and ESG initiatives.

Financial & Contract Management

· Assist in budget preparation, cost control, and financial reporting.

· Review contracts, quotes, and invoices for quality and value.

Risk & Incident Management

· Identify and mitigate potential risks.

· Respond to incidents professionally and promptly.

Continuous Improvement

· Contribute ideas to enhance building performance and community satisfaction.

· Champion NEWERA's commitment to people, innovation and leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

· Minimum 5 years' experience in Building or Facilities Management.

· Strong understanding of maintenance systems, compliance and contractor management.

· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

· Financial acumen for budgeting and expenditure tracking.

· Organised, solution-focused, and proactive under pressure.

· Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

· A genuine passion for people, community and sustainability.
