What role will you play?

As a Technology Business Operational Risk Manager, you will act as a trusted risk partner to senior leaders across Macquarie’s technology teams, providing practical advice and constructive challenge to support informed decision-making and strategic change. You will help assess and manage operational risks across technology platforms, services and transformation programmes, while supporting the design and delivery of resilient, well-controlled and secure technology solutions. Working across a broad range of technology areas, you will influence how technology capabilities are governed, operated and continuously improved, helping to strengthen risk management and operational resilience across the organisation.

What you offer

  • 7+ years’ experience in technology risk management, technology audit, cybersecurity, technology operations, engineering or a related discipline, ideally within financial services or another highly regulated environment.
  • Experience relevant to one or more technology disciplines such as technology risk, engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, service management, technology delivery or transformation will be highly regarded. Experience in secure software development, modern engineering practices and application security, including Secure Software Development Lifecycle, DevSecOps, application programming interface security, vulnerability management, developer platforms and software supply chain security, will be particularly advantageous.
  • Strong ability to assess operational risk, evaluate control effectiveness, identify emerging risks and develop practical, sustainable solutions to improve outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage senior leaders, facilitate discussions and translate complex technical concepts into clear business risks and actions.
  • A collaborative and curious mindset, supported by relevant qualifications in technology, engineering, cybersecurity, information systems or risk management, with industry certifications viewed favourably.
