Senior Security Consultant

About this role

We’re working with a highly regarded multidisciplinary design consultancy that is growing its Physical Security team and looking for a Security Consultant to join the business. Please note this is not cyber security.

We are looking for Engineers in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional looking to work on major, complex projects across sectors including data centres, commercial, healthcare, transport, education and infrastructure.

The Role

You’ll be involved throughout the design and delivery process, working closely with architects, engineers, clients and other specialist consultants to develop practical and technically sound security solutions.

Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities will include:

• Developing physical security strategies, concepts and detailed designs
• Security risk assessments and threat assessments
• Developing security specifications, reports and technical documentation
• Designing CCTV, access control, intercom, intrusion detection and other electronic security systems
• Developing security system schematics, layouts and design documentation
• Coordinating across all disciplines
• Working with clients and project stakeholders to understand security requirements
• Supporting projects through construction, commissioning and handover

About You

We’re interested in speaking with Security Consultants from Intermediate through to Senior level, generally with 3–10 years of relevant experience.

You’ll ideally have

• Experience in physical security consulting, security design or electronic security
• Strong knowledge of security systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection and intercom
• Experience producing security design documentation and technical reports
• An understanding of relevant Australian Standards and security design principles
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
