Our client is seeking an experienced investigator to join a specialist investigations team responsible for managing sensitive and complex misconduct matters. This is an opportunity to contribute to ethical decision-making, strengthen governance frameworks, and support a high-performing public sector organisation committed to serving Queensland communities.
Reporting to a senior leader, you will undertake and case manage investigations into allegations of staff misconduct while providing expert advice on complaints management, compliance, risk mitigation and governance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and case manage complex and sensitive workplace investigations.
- Assess allegations and complaints in line with legislative and policy frameworks.
- Prepare comprehensive investigation reports, briefs, submissions and recommendations.
- Provide high-level advice regarding misconduct, complaints management and compliance matters.
- Identify systemic issues and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to organisational policy development relating to integrity, ethical conduct and governance.
- Engage and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Support awareness programs focused on integrity, ethics and professional standards.
About You
To be successful, you will bring
- Demonstrated experience managing complex workplace misconduct investigations.
- Strong knowledge of administrative investigations, complaints management and governance frameworks.
- Experience preparing detailed investigation reports for senior decision makers.
- Outstanding written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Experience within a government, regulatory, integrity, oversight or compliance environment will be highly regarded.
