Ex-Police Intelligence Analyst Salaries in the UK

Reviewed July 2026

Intelligence pay depends on which of three markets you enter with the same skill set: corporate intelligence/due diligence (consultancy money), in-house threat intelligence (tech and finance money, the highest), or fraud intelligence (banking money, the most vacancies).

Police analysts typically enter above graduate analysts on the strength of assessed products and source-evaluation method.

What the roles pay

RoleTypical range
Intelligence analyst£30,000–£45,000
Senior analyst£45,000–£60,000
Due-diligence / corporate intelligence specialist£50,000–£75,000
Threat-intelligence specialist (cyber)£55,000–£80,000
Intelligence manager£70,000–£90,000+

What moves the number

  • Cyber-flavoured threat intelligence out-pays every other analyst route — worth the certification detour for some.
  • Security clearance (SC/DV) opens government-contractor analysis, which pays over commercial equivalents.
  • Language skills and regional expertise carry explicit premiums in due-diligence firms.
  • A portfolio of two sanitised products beats any certificate at interview.
  • London hosts most of the corporate-intelligence market; expect 15–20% less regionally.
