About this role

It starts with our people, which is why we’re looking for a Analyst, Compliance to join our Business Acceptance Team, supporting the onboarding of new clients and matters into the firm.

This role sits within a risk and compliance environment, giving you exposure to international business acceptance activities across a range of practice areas. You’ll focus on client due diligence, conflicts analysis, and risk assessment, with opportunities to contribute to wider team initiatives such as sanctions checks, process improvement, and information barrier management.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across London, Manchester, and the US, as well as the Risk team, wider business services, and legal practitioners.

You’ll be responsible for

  • Conducting conflicts analysis and client due diligence on clients and matters
  • Identifying, assessing and escalating higher risk and reputational issues including sanctions and AML risk
  • Assisting with the establishment and maintenance of information barriers
  • Liaising with partners and other legal practitioners in relation to conflicts, AML risks, and matter opening
  • Assisting with the management of the Business Acceptance inbox and responding to queries received
  • Ensuring matters are opened in a timely manner using Intapp Open
  • Supporting various Business Acceptance-related team projects and processes

Skills and experience required

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels
  • Adaptable, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset
  • Desire and capacity to learn and develop within a risk or compliance-focused environment
  • Enthusiastic, professional and approachable

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in law firm risk and compliance, including exposure to AML, KYC/CDD, and conflicts
  • Experience working with Intapp Open
  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Law, Business, Finance, Criminology, Economics or a related analytical/regulated field
  • Background in legal, financial services, professional services or similar sectors
