About this role

As one of the world's largest networks of audit, tax and consulting firms, RSM delivers big ideas and premium service to help middle-market businesses thrive. We are a fast-growing firm with big ambitions - we have a clear goal to become the premium adviser to the middle market, globally. This vision touches everything we do, motivating and inspiring us to become better every day. If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.

Make an Impact at RSM UK

We are looking for a Compliance Assistant to work within our central specialist Anti-Money Laundering team on a 12-month FTC to cover maternity leave. As part of a wider risk, compliance, and assurance teams, you will perform critical operational tasks to support service line teams as they evaluate client and engagement take-on and due diligence.

Our continued growth and commitment to evolve RSM into a digitally-savvy business, with infrastructure fit for the future, presents a rare opportunity to play a role in transforming our client acceptance processes which support a critical (and regulated) element of the firm’s operations.

If you have a keen eye for detail, enjoy providing excellent customer service, and building relationships across a large and diverse organisation, then this role could be a good fit.

We operate a flexible hybrid-working model in the team, focusing on being where we can most effectively provide support to the service lines, which can occasionally involve travel to UK-based offices.

You’ll make an impact by

  • Reviewing matters escalated to the AML team to ensure that risks have been appropriately identified, evaluated, and documented
  • Performing ongoing monitoring for our clients, evaluating potential ‘hits’ and working with the client team to determine appropriate actions
  • Assisting with ID verification, either through evaluating exceptions and determining appropriate resolutions, or working directly with the client to obtain appropriate evidence to support the level of risk

What we are looking for

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • Excellent communication skills, specifically capable of being clear, concise, and precise
  • A natural curiosity and desire to get to the bottom of things
  • A flexible and adaptable working style and enjoy learning and working as a team
  • A strong ‘moral compass’
  • A desire to provide world-class customer service
  • A keen eye for detail but is also able to stand back and consider the specific context and circumstances of a case

What we can offer you

We recognise that our people are our most important assets. That’s why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package that will help you have fulfilling experience, both in and out of work.

  • Hybrid and Flexible working
  • 25 Days Holiday (with the option of purchasing additional days)
  • Lifestyle, Health, and Wellbeing including financial wellbeing benefits such as financial tools, electric car scheme and access to a virtual GP.
  • Access to a suite of 300+ courses on demand developed by our inhouse Talent Development team.

Diversity and Inclusion at RSM

At RSM, we want to create a strong sense of belonging so that people of all identities, backgrounds, and cultures feel they can bring their true self to work. Our clients come from all walks of life. We aim to achieve that same diversity of background, experience and perspective in our own teams, so that we can genuinely understand our client's needs. Diverse teams bring a broader range of ideas and insights to work. That's why we're working together to ensure our firm's principles and processes support a firm culture that embraces difference and strengthens inclusion.

At RSM we work hard to create an environment where our people can make a difference - to themselves, their career, their teams, and to the success of our firm and clients. We support all our people to work flexibly, to manage their family and other responsibilities alongside their work commitments; we believe this is key to achieving an inspiring and fulfilling working environment.
