About this role

Compliance Manager

Specialist Lending - Consumer Credit & Bridging Finance

London (Hybrid, 3 days a week in the office)

£60k - £65k + bonus + benefits

What’s in it for you?

This is a great opportunity to play a key role in shaping and strengthening Compliance within a growing lending business.

You’ll have exposure to both regulated and non-regulated business activities, and you’ll contribute to the launch of new products and work closely with senior leadership.

There is also a very good chance that this will develop into a Deputy Head of Compliance and MLRO role in the future.

All in all, it's a great developmental opportunity with a business that's really going places. You'll have plenty of chance to add value and make a difference, whilst developing your own career substantially along the way.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Head of Compliance & MLRO, you'll be responsible for horizon scanning, policy development and maintenance, compliance monitoring, embedding Consumer Duty, financial promotions oversight and supporting the business's financial crime framework

You will provide support in relation to anti-money laundering and financial crime activities across the business.

And you'll work closely with teams across the business, providing practical advice and guidance on regulatory requirements whilst helping to strengthen the firm's Compliance culture.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced compliance professional with extensive experience in a UK regulated Financial Services environment.

You'll have a strong understanding of FCA regulation and conduct risk requirements, together with an excellent working knowledge of Consumer Duty and customer outcome frameworks.

You'll have experience of compliance monitoring and assurance activities and will be familiar with reviewing and approving financial promotions.

Any previous experience within consumer credit, specialist lending, or secured lending would be advantageous but is not essential.
