Goodman Masson are delighted to be working in partnership with B&D Reside to recruit an experienced Compliance Officer to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented compliance professional to play a key role in ensuring that B&D Reside continues to meet its regulatory, legislative and organisational obligations across its housing operations.

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance performance, supporting audits and risk management activity, and helping to drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

The Role

As Compliance Officer, you will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that policies, procedures and operational practices remain compliant with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Monitoring compliance with housing regulations, legislation, health & safety requirements, safeguarding standards and data protection obligations.
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory and legislative changes and supporting the organisation in responding proactively.
  • Assisting with the development, implementation and review of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the communication and embedding of policies and procedures across the organisation.
  • Working with senior management to implement changes to operational practices where required.
  • Supporting the identification, recording and reporting of compliance breaches and risks.
  • Producing detailed compliance reports, including KPIs, trend analysis and risk assessments.
  • Supporting audits and monitoring compliance performance across relevant services.
  • Building strong relationships with internal teams including Operations, Health & Safety and Finance.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, including regulators and contractors, where required.
  • Contributing to a strong culture of accountability, continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in a compliance, legal or regulatory environment, ideally within social housing, housing management or property.

You will be highly organised and analytical, with the ability to identify risks, interpret complex information and provide clear recommendations to stakeholders.

You'll also need

  • Experience working within a compliance, regulatory or legal environment.
  • Ideally, experience within social housing or property management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • The ability to identify compliance risks and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to work independently and use your own initiative.
