Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will champion the organization’s adherence to regulatory standards, internal policies, and industry best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence our compliance framework, safeguard our reputation, and promote a culture of integrity across all levels of the organization.

Key Duties

  • Support client onboarding and conduct routine KYC/AML and due diligence checks.
  • Review client identification, company and beneficial ownership documents for completeness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records, trackers and client files.
  • Assist with routine compliance monitoring and internal checks.
  • Identify incomplete or unusual information and escalate concerns to management.
  • Support the review and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures and registers.
  • Conduct basic research on relevant legal, regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Assist with compliance reporting, audits and preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Follow up on outstanding compliance actions and documentation.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling client and company information.
  • Support compliance training and awareness activities.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Compliance and Operations

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • A degree or relevant qualification in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Compliance, Risk Management or a related discipline.
  • Some exposure to compliance, legal, financial services, professional services, administration or a similar environment.
  • Good understanding of confidentiality and professional conduct.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping ability.

Desirable

  • Basic knowledge of KYC, AML and client due diligence.
  • Previous experience supporting compliance or legal teams.
  • Familiarity with UK business or regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance.
  • Relevant compliance, AML, risk or financial services training.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and document management systems.
