Role Description This full-time remote role as a Compliance & Regulatory Risk Consultant involves providing advisory support to financial services firms on regulatory requirements and best practices. The consultant will assess clients’ compliance frameworks, perform risk assessments, and identify gaps and improvement opportunities across policies, procedures, and controls. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting regulatory developments, preparing reports and recommendations, and supporting the implementation of risk mitigation strategies. The role also requires building trusted relationships with clients, delivering consultancy engagements, and helping them manage ongoing enterprise and conduct risk. The consultant will collaborate with internal colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery and contribute to the enhancement of Paradigm’s regulatory support propositions.

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills to assess compliance frameworks, interpret regulatory information, and perform risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of Finance and UK financial services operations, including wealth management, financial advice, and mortgage advice.
  • Experience in Enterprise Risk Management, including identification, measurement, monitoring, and mitigation of regulatory and operational risks.
  • Consulting capabilities, including client advisory experience, stakeholder management, and delivery of tailored recommendations.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, for explaining complex regulatory concepts clearly and preparing reports.
  • Experience with UK financial services regulation (e.g., FCA rules, conduct risk, compliance frameworks) is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple client engagements, and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant professional qualification or degree in finance, law, business, risk management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a compliance, risk, or regulatory advisory role within financial services is an advantage.
