You will be working in the Building Services OU based in Edinburgh in where we are responsible for bringing Skanska’s purpose to build for a better society to life—creating healthy workplaces, comfortable homes and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. Through collaboration and innovation, we deliver high-quality solutions that make a lasting, positive impact for people and communities.

We are currently looking for a Facilities Manager who will oversee the daily operation and maintenance of facilities, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.

As the Facilities Manager, you will:*

Control the workflow of Skanska Facilities Services operations and the management of all aspects of the mechanical & electrical contract across the estate

Deliver the services within the contract in accordance with established contractual, time and budget constraints.

Develop project work opportunities and have the ability to compile quotations to client base.

Have sound commercial acumen and the ability to manage risk and opportunity.

Manage all commercial, technical and operational aspects of the contract while maintaining sound relationships with the client and Building Users.

Liaise with client managers; building users, sub-contractors and internal helpdesk team to ensure work is carried out in accordance with contractual requirements.

This vacancy is classed as a Regulated Role by Disclosure Scotland. In accordance with the requirements of our statutory obligations, all offers made to Regulated Roles must be made subject to the receipt of confirmation of PVG Scheme membership.

We are looking for:*

Experience of Facilities’ Management/Contract Management/Building Management (Minimum of 5 years)

Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation, regulations and AP duties.

Experience across a varied building portfolio.

Good computer skills including use of Microsoft Office.

Capacity to meet deadlines.
