About this role
Gambit Search*has partnered with a highly regarded firm to find a *Financial Crime Manager for their growing specialist team in London.
The work
The financial crime team helps organisations understand, strengthen and defend how they deal with financial crime risk. As a Manager, your time will be split across:
- Investigations and incident response: helping clients establish what went wrong after a suspected money laundering, sanctions or bribery issue, and advising on the right response
- Assurance reviews: independently testing whether a client’s AML, sanctions, ABC and fraud controls hold up in practice, and setting out clear, prioritised recommendations
- Remediation programmes: shaping and running large-scale fixes to customer onboarding and monitoring processes, often with sizeable delivery teams
- Advisory and training: helping senior stakeholders understand their obligations and keeping their teams’ knowledge up to date
Clients will vary but include banks, payment firms and other regulated businesses, as well as corporates working on their wider financial crime exposure.
As a manager, you’ll be trusted to run engagements from start to finish. That means owning the quality of what’s delivered, keeping work on track and acting as a credible adviser to clients. You’ll also guide and develop the consultants working with you.
Your background
You’ll have built a strong grounding in UK financial crime regulation, whether in advisory, in-house or regulatory roles. You’ll be confident leading/managing others and comfortable liaising with clients. A relevant qualification is welcome but not a requirement.
Why consider it
- An elite business and growing team with real progression potential due to the structure
- Close working relationships with senior leadership
- Hybrid working with genuine flexibility
