We're looking for a proactive Maintenance and Facilities Manager to lead our Maintenance Team at our Bluebell Close, Alfreton site. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our business.

Hours of work – currently 29 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (generally 8am - 4pm), however flexibility will be required on occasion to meet the needs of the business. It is anticipated that hours of work could increase to 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, generally 8am - 4.00pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am - 2.45pm on Fridays from January 2027 onwards.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Maintenance and Facilities Manager you'll

· Provide overall line management of the Bluebell Close site Maintenance Team.

· Lead and develop the team by demonstrating exceptional safety standards, championing continuous improvement, going the extra mile and leading by example.

· Screen contractors Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) and documentation ensuring they meet requirements.

· Manage and oversee contractors on a daily basis while on site including delivering inductions, reviewing RAMS, isolations and issuing the relevant permits for work.

· Review data and information to identify trends, challenges, get to root cause and fix issues first time.

· Carry out internal audits of plants and processes.

· Develop and submit improvement plans to that clearly detail the reasons for investment and payback.

· Ensure that the Maintenance Team actively participate in our daily reporting, own and progress actions.

· Deliver site maintenance in line with COMAH, PSSR, Electricity at Work, PUWER, LOLER, DSEAR, CDM, HASAWA, Asbestos Control, Fire Reform Act, Ageing Plant, Legionella etc and Internal Policies & Procedures

· Endure P&ID’s are maintained and current

· Ensure COMAH Safety critical requirements are adhered to.

· Isolations and permits to work – maintain a schedule of points of isolation. Identify any non-compliance along with appropriate corrective action and timescale for completion.

· Fire System Register – maintain and ensure its currency including all critical control measures.

· Update and follow the Maintenance Management Procedure whenever significant changes occur.

· Maintain a documented strategy for Maintenance that reflects the annual maintenance budget. Ensuring timings for scheduled work & spend/cash flow plans are aligned and delivered OTIF.

· Strived to achieve 95% compliance or better through the Planned Maintenance Schedule.

· Develop and administer the Asset Register – ensuring critical spares are reviewed and current

· Ensure major equipment upgrades, Engineering and ISOPA standards are implemented OTIF.

What We're Looking For

· A proactive and forward-thinking individual, with a track record of having worked within a similar role, ideally within manufacturing.

· A good communicator who can manage a team as well as being part of the site management team.

· An understanding of COMAH legislation and the requirements of this standard.

· Experience of working with and ideally building a CMMS system.

· Ability to prioritise between creating new ideas for the future and working on day to day requirements.
