Key Responsibilities

You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of club facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing defect liability periods (DLAP) and warranty management for newly completed works, including the Novotel and renovated bar areas, ensuring contractors meet obligations and all defects are identified, tracked, and resolved within required timeframes.
  • Collaborating with contractors to ensure timely and quality completion of ongoing projects, while maintaining a strong focus on integrating new facilities seamlessly into existing operations.
  • Conducting regular inspections of both new and existing areas to assess maintenance needs and ensure that all services are operational and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Developing and coordinating scheduled maintenance programs and budgets, ensuring that both proactive and reactive maintenance needs are met to support the club’s services.
  • Ensuring that all facilities programs, including preventive maintenance and lifecycle management, are executed promptly and to quality standards, with particular attention to any new installations or renovations.
  • Supervising the management of site facilities, such as contractor oversight, waste management, while ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness across all areas.
  • Managing the annual facilities budget, identifying and prioritizing funding requirements to support both ongoing operations and new service developments.
  • Adhering to all Club policies and procedures related to Work Health & Safety (WHS), ensuring that projects undertaken by contractors comply with safety regulations.
  • Collaborating with internal and external procurement teams for contractor selection, engagement, negotiation, and performance reviews to ensure the best outcomes for both new and existing facilities.
  • Driving continuous improvements and efficiencies in safety standards and procedures across all areas of the club, including the newly launched sections, through regular audits and feedback loops.
  • Preparing and implementing comprehensive training programs for employees, focusing on new systems or facilities to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and skill development.

  • Long-term planning skills to make strategic decisions that support sustainable development and future benefits.
