Overview

Your investigative judgement and evidence-based analysis from financial crime cases map directly to assessing sanctions, money laundering and corruption risks.

About this role

Are you an experienced financial crime professional looking to make a real impact at the heart of government-backed international trade? UK Export Finance (UKEF) is seeking a Financial Crime Manager to join our Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Division, part of the Legal, Environmental & Social and Compliance Group.

In this influential role, you’ll provide expert analysis and advice on complex financial crime risks across UKEF transactions, helping to protect the organisation from financial loss, legal exposure and reputational damage. You'll assess potential corruption, sanctions, money laundering and other financial crime risks, delivering robust, evidence-based recommendations to senior leaders that support sound decision-making while enabling UKEF to achieve its commercial objectives.

You'll work closely with colleagues across government, industry and international Export Credit Agencies, contribute to policy development, horizon-scan emerging financial crime threats, and help shape UKEF's risk appetite and compliance framework. The role also offers opportunities to mentor colleagues, support training initiatives and drive continuous improvement across the Department's financial crime capabilities.

If you're a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, excellent judgement and a passion for risk management and compliance, we'd love to hear from you.
