Regional Operations Manager

Join Ecolab’s industry leading Pest Elimination*team as the*Operations Manager for National FM Partner. Ecolab Pest Elimination partners with commercial businesses to protect their brand, their facilities, and the health and safety of their employees and customers. As Operations Manager you will be a senior leader within our business managing a multi million pounds field service business and lead a team of District Managers and associates delivering a national field based service to a major FM partner. Reporting to the Director of Operations, we will count on you to provide leadership to deliver the team financial and operational goals and to build a strong operations team culturally-committed to customer service and accountability.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver the team financial and operational goals; manage a significant P&L statement; communicate expectations for performance within the defined area of responsibility; assure execution on overall regional and divisional objectives and consistently stress safe working behaviours and business protocols
  • Partner with associates in a centralised support centre, dedicated sales and marketing team to deliver increased sales growth through additional market segment penetration and improved customer relationships and retention
  • Develop your Senior District Manager with strong and planned succession planning in mind
  • Hold managers accountable for effectively managing a route service business and meeting specific objectives including but not limited to profitability targets, execution of defined service protocols, achieving critical route service goals and high levels of customer satisfaction/retention
  • Take an active role in hiring, assessing, and developing associates to become the next leaders at Ecolab
  • Create an environment that promotes and strengthens a diverse, inclusive and engaged culture
  • Spend a significant amount of your time in the field with associates, key customers, and sales partners to attain mutual objectives and provide solutions to customer and stakeholder requests
  • Monitor and maintain standards for regulatory and licensing compliance in the pest industry and implementation of division and corporate policies and practices within the region

Basic Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree OR equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have strong motorway networks for national travel

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in managing teams, preferably including managing people managers
  • Successful management and leadership experience in a service related industry
  • Management experience in a route service based environment
  • Ability to implement change initiatives and adapt to changing business environments
  • Proven record of successful P&L management experience to include meeting or exceeding specific financial targets such as sales, gross profit, and/or quality service reputation
  • Demonstrated leadership and career progression to managing managers level in a large route service organisation
  • Knowledge of key operational and route service systems such as automated routing and territory management systems
