The Privacy and Legislative Compliance Officer supports the privacy and legislative compliance function within the NSW Electoral Commission.

The role is an ongoing full-time position.

Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements

As the successful candidate, you will have

  • Demonstrated strong understanding of privacy and data governance statutes, policies and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders and provide quality advice.
  • Ability to analyse complex situations and identify potential compliance issues.
  • Ability to develop and implement solutions to address compliance concerns.
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure accurate record-keeping and adherence to regulations.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

Essential requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • Politically neutral with no current or past affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/third party campaigners.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record check result.
