Robert Half is recruiting a Privacy & Compliance Associate for a well-established business in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong data protection and privacy background who is looking to broaden their experience across wider compliance activities, with a clear opportunity for progression within the compliance function.
The Role
You'll join a compliance team where privacy and data protection form a key part of the role, alongside wider regulatory and operational compliance responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include
- Acting as a key point of contact for privacy and data protection matters, including GDPR-related queries
- Supporting privacy compliance activities, documentation, and governance processes
- Reviewing and monitoring compliance across purchasing and operational processes
- Supporting counter-fraud activities through detection, investigation, and advisory work
- Assisting with contract reviews and customer communications
- Supporting consumer protection requirements and complaints handling processes
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to improve compliance practices
About You
- Around 3 years' experience within a privacy, data protection role.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR and wider data protection principles
- Experience handling privacy queries, compliance documentation, or governance activities
- Comfortable working across broader compliance areas beyond privacy alone
- A proactive approach with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
This role would suit someone who enjoys privacy but is looking to develop into a broader compliance career path rather than remaining solely focused on data protection.
