As ASEL continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and ambitious Security Regional Operations Manager to join our leadership team and take ownership of our North West operations.

THE ROLE

This is a senior operational leadership position with responsibility for the performance, people and customer relationships across a growing regional portfolio.

Working closely with the Zonal Operations Manager and wider leadership team, you will lead a team of Regional Support Managers and ensure our customers receive consistently high standards of service.

You will be responsible for driving operational performance, developing your teams, managing commercial performance and building strong, long term relationships with our customers.

This is a hands on leadership role where you will have the autonomy to make decisions, solve problems and influence how we deliver our services across the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Leadership

  • Take ownership of operational performance across the North West portfolio.
  • Lead, coach and develop Regional Support Managers and their teams.
  • Monitor performance against SLAs, KPIs and customer expectations.
  • Identify underperforming contracts and implement improvement plans.
  • Conduct regular site visits and operational reviews.
  • Ensure resources are deployed effectively and service standards are consistently maintained.
  • Lead the response to significant operational issues and customer escalations.

People & Leadership

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and employee performance.
  • Develop a high performing, accountable and inclusive regional culture.
  • Coach and mentor managers to achieve their full potential.
  • Manage employee relations, performance and disciplinary matters where required.
  • Identify and develop future leaders through effective succession planning.
  • Work closely with HR to support employee engagement and retention.

Customer & Commercial

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Attend client meetings and performance reviews.
  • Understand customer requirements and proactively identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Support contract retention, renewals and commercial growth.
  • Monitor regional costs, budgets, labour and overtime.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Work closely with Business Development and Commercial teams to identify opportunities for additional services.

Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure all contracts operate in line with ASEL policies, contractual requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety across the region.
  • Ensure Assignment Instructions, risk assessments and operational documentation remain accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure incidents and security events are appropriately investigated and reported.
  • Support audits and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Continuous Improvement

  • Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Introduce best practice across the regional portfolio.
  • Use operational data and customer feedback to drive decision making.
  • Support the introduction of new technology, processes and security solutions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an experienced security professional who combines strong operational leadership, commercial awareness and excellent people skills.

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a sizeable security environment.
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams.
  • Strong experience in security or facilities management contract management.
  • Experience managing multiple contracts, sites or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety and operational compliance.
  • Experience managing performance, recruitment and employee development.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Commercially aware with a results driven approach.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the North West.
