Role purpose

An exciting opportunity has become available within the IELTS team for a Regulations & Compliance Officer, IELTS to join our global operations team.

This role plays a critical part in supporting IELTS' contractual, regulatory and reporting obligations across key government authorities, regulators and stakeholders worldwide. Working closely with the IELTS Partner Manager and colleagues across IDP, the British Council and Cambridge University Press & Assessment, you'll help ensure IELTS continues to meet its commitments to some of the world's most important immigration, education and regulatory bodies.

As the Regulations & Compliance Officer, IELTS, you will provide administrative, governance and operational support across a broad range of compliance, reporting and stakeholder engagement activities. You will help coordinate regulatory obligations, support audit and compliance processes, maintain governance records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the global IELTS network.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Coordinate and support delivery of contractual and regulatory reporting obligations
  • Monitor compliance schedules, obligations and deadline
  • Support regulator, partner and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Coordinate audit readiness, evidence collection and remediation actions
  • Support incident management, compliance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate compliance and governance project activities
  • Track traceability of contractual commitments to operational compliance
  • Use analytical skills to determine areas of risk and opportunity across the contractual and stakeholder landscape
  • Undertake work as is reasonably required to support the needs of the business

  • Experience in administrative, coordination, compliance support, governance support or project support roles
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptability to flex as the needs of our government and global networks change
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Confidence working with data, reports, trackers and action logs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Copilot
  • Ability to follow processes, work independently and escalate issues appropriately
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach to work

Highly Regarded

  • Previous experience supporting governance, compliance, audit, operational or project activities
  • Knowledge of IELTS operations or international education services
