About the opportunity

Working as a Revenue Protection Officer, you'll be streaming and checking mail and parcels. You’re part of a team where you will work together, and individually, to ensure that mail and parcels are lodged and charged correctly.

RPO Officers are responsible for assisting in the acceptance, checking and processing of customer lodgements across their assigned Australia Post facilities. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with revenue protection, lodgement quality and operational standards while supporting the national Customer Operations Liaison Team in its objectives.

The primary purpose of the role is to do work that protects revenue, improves lodgement compliance and educates merchants about opportunities. RPO Officers work closely with their COLT Coordinator to ensure acceptance checks are conducted accurately, product is promptly processed and local targets are met.

You’ll be

  • Building collaborative relationships with customers; seeking to understand the needs of customers.
  • Preparing outward mail for dispatch through correct presentation, review of charging related documents, and cancellation of stamps.
  • Assisting and/or performing administrative duties such as data entry and record maintenance.

  • Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift.

What you'll do

  • Perform customer acceptance checks to ensure compliance with revenue and lodgement standards.
  • Support COLT Coordinators in executing operational processes and quality assurance tasks.
  • Accurately document non-conformance issues and escalating them where necessary.
  • Aid in revenue protection measures, ensuring customers are charged correctly.
  • Adhere to safety standards and contributing to a secure work environment.
  • Work at varied sites based on relief needs (BPF, Murarrie PUD, Gold Coast Parcel Facility) **must have own vehicle

You’ll also need to

  • Lift up to 16kg of mail and/or parcels on a repetitive basis.
  • Be able to stand for the duration of your shift.
  • Be customer focused and be able to work collaboratively with your team to deliver solutions.
  • Be fast and efficient.
  • Demonstrate appropriate Occupational Health and Safety practices within the workplace.
