Governance & Risk Analyst
Currently recruiting for a Governance & Risk Analyst to join the established Governance & Risk function of a leading UK law firm.
This is a great opportunity for someone with law firm compliance experience who wants to develop further across governance, regulatory compliance and quality management, with particularly strong exposure to SRA requirements and wider firm-wide governance matters.
The role will involve
- Supporting the firm’s governance and regulatory compliance framework, including SRA requirements
- Coordinating and updating policies and procedures
- Researching regulatory developments and assisting with policy and committee papers
- Attending divisional meetings and reporting on governance and risk matters
- Supporting internal and external audits and ISO 9001 accreditation
- Conducting file audits and ongoing compliance monitoring
- Supporting horizon scanning and producing compliance alerts and updates
- Assisting with claims, insurance renewals and governance reporting
- Delivering compliance training across the firm
Ideally, you will have
- Experience within a law firm Risk, Compliance or Governance function
- Strong knowledge of the SRA Handbook and SRA Code of Conduct
- Governance experience across areas such as policies, procedures, committees, audits or regulatory reporting
- An understanding of wider compliance areas including AML and data protection
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders across a law firm
