Hours: 7 on 3 off 7 on 4 off 56 hrs average per week

As a Security Officer, you will provide a professional security service in line with Assignment Instructions and customer requirements, helping to protect employees, visitors, property, and assets. The Security Officer will deliver exceptional customer service while consistently demonstrating Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. A valid SIA licence is required before undertaking operational duties as a Security Officer.

Responsibilities*

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

  • Monitor site access, CCTV, alarms, and security systems.
  • Conduct regular patrols to protect people, property, and assets.
  • Manage visitors, contractors, keys, and access control procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and fire alarms effectively.
  • Complete accurate reports, records, and security documentation.
  • Prevent loss, theft, damage, and unauthorised access.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and site security procedures.
  • Liaise with emergency services and the Security Operations Centre (SOC) when required.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and uphold Securitas' values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

  • Valid SIA Licence
  • Previous security and reception experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence, own vehicle, and willingness to travel to different locations
  • Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent customer service skills when dealing with clients, staff, and visitors
  • Experience managing reception duties, visitor access, deliveries, and site access control
  • Ability to work independently and remain professional under pressure
  • Flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
