Overview

Your structured approach to managing complex incidents and leading teams under pressure translates to project leadership.

About this role

Senior Check Point SME – Project Lead

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are seeking a highly experienced Check Point SME to join a well-established managed services provider as their technical authority for a critical new capability area. This is a project-focused, customer-facing role where you will operate as technical lead, driving complex Check Point projects autonomously from end to end.

Check Point is a newly established capability for their client, so this is a genuine opportunity to shape best practice, mentor delivery teams, and build a practice area from the ground up, while working directly with a major enterprise customer environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver Check Point firewall upgrades and migrations
  • Manage large-scale change implementations from design through to execution
  • Provide technical project leadership across the full delivery lifecycle
  • Deliver solution design and act as a trusted technical advisor to customer stakeholders
  • Lead technical discussions and workshops with customer teams
  • Navigate and drive changes through established enterprise governance and change management processes
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key customer contacts
  • Influence project outcomes and provide hands-on technical leadership during delivery
  • Communicate confidently and clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

About You

You are a senior, autonomous Check Point expert who thrives on ownership and enjoys being the go-to technical authority in a room. You'll bring:

  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Check Point firewall technologies
  • A strong track record delivering firewall upgrades and migrations at scale
  • Proven experience leading complex, large-scale change implementations
  • Demonstrated technical project leadership, not just operational support
  • Strong solution design and customer advisory experience
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working within structured enterprise governance/change frameworks
  • The confidence and communication skills to lead workshops and influence outcomes with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
  • The ability to work autonomously and take end-to-end ownership of project delivery

What's on Offer

  • $160,000 - $180,000 + Super, permanent role
  • The opportunity to establish and lead a brand-new technical capability area
  • High-visibility, customer-facing project work with a major enterprise client
  • A genuine technical leadership platform, shape best practice and mentor others as the practice grows
