About this role

Role Purpose

The Senior Risk Analyst is responsible for owning and delivering the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP). The role provides independent assurance that Financial Crime controls are operating effectively by planning, executing and reporting on compliance monitoring reviews across the business.

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver CMP testing in accordance with the annual monitoring plan.

· Complete testing within agreed deadlines.

· Assess control design and operational effectiveness.

· Produce clear, evidence-based testing reports.

· Identify control weaknesses and root causes.

· Agree remediation actions with stakeholders.

· Track remediation through to completion.

· Maintain high-quality audit trails and testing evidence.

· Support regulatory inspections and internal audits.

· Recommend improvements to strengthen Financial Crime controls.

Essential Skills & Experience

· 1–3 years' AML/Financial Crime experience.

· Experience within fintech or payments.

· Merchant acquiring experience desirable.

· Good understanding of compliance monitoring methodologies.

· Strong analytical and investigative skills.

· Excellent report-writing skills.

· High attention to detail.

· Ability to challenge constructively and work independently.
