Kip Kew*

Site Manager (Dog Daycare)

Join our team as a Site Manager - Dog Daycare in Kew

At Kip Happy Stays, we're passionate about giving pets the very best care. As Australia's leading pet care provider, we set the benchmark for safe, enriching, and fun experiences for every dog in our care.

We're looking for a hands-on leader to run our Kip Kew site — someone who loves dogs, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and gets a real buzz out of building a great team and a great customer experience.

As Site Manager, you'll own the day-to-day running and performance of the daycare — balancing operational leadership with hands-on involvement in pet care. You'll lead a dedicated team, uphold our high standards of safety and enrichment, and help create a great experience for pets and their owners alike.

This role suits someone who leads from the front, motivates their team, and takes real ownership of how their site performs.

Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts fall between 6:30am–6:30pm with a mix of half and full days — rosters are discussed with shortlisted candidates to find the best fit for both you and the site.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team delivering exceptional pet care
  • Be hands-on in daily daycare operations
  • Manage rostering, staffing coordination, and team performance
  • Uphold high standards of animal welfare, safety, and facility presentation
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and manage client bookings
  • Monitor and support site performance and occupancy targets
  • Handle incidents or pet health concerns with professionalism and care
  • Maintain compliance, safety procedures, and operational processes
  • Support social media content showcasing the Kip daycare experience

What You'll Bring

  • A genuine passion for dogs and animal welfare
  • Confidence as a supportive, hands-on team leader
  • A strong customer service mindset
  • Great organisation and attention to detail
  • Sound judgement and quick problem-solving under pressure
  • A calm, focused approach in a busy environment
  • Comfort picking up new systems and technology

Highly Regarded (Not Essential)

  • Experience in animal care, dog daycare, kennels, or similar
  • Experience leading a team or managing site operations

Why Join Kip?

  • Did someone say pets?!
  • Career progression in a growing national company
  • Leadership training and development, built for you
  • Up to 50% staff discount on retail products and pet services
  • Performance-based incentives for Site Leaders
  • Structured onboarding to set you up for success
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential wellbeing support
  • A genuinely passionate team within a trusted, well-known brand

How to Apply

Include a cover letter telling us why you're the right fit. Don't tick every box? Tell us how your skills transfer — we'd love to hear it.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a brief one-way video interview ahead of second-stage interviews. Successful candidates will need to complete a National Criminal History Check (at Kip's cost) as part of onboarding.
