Vibanx (Canada) Ltd is a FINTRAC-registered Money Services Business (MSB) providing international payment solutions to corporate clients through a network of regulated payment partners.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance team and take an active role in the day-to-day management of our financial crime compliance activities.
THE ROLE
As a Compliance Analyst, you'll be responsible for a broad range of day-to-day compliance activities across customer onboarding, AML/ATF, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and ongoing customer oversight. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who already has practical compliance experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review corporate customer onboarding applications and conduct KYC/KYB and due diligence checks.
- Carry out and assess sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening.
- Review transaction monitoring alerts and investigate unusual or potentially suspicious activity.
- Conduct customer risk assessments, enhanced due diligence, ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews of existing customers.
- Maintain accurate compliance records, procedures, registers and audit trails.
- Respond to compliance-related enquiries from internal teams, payment partners and other third parties.
- Support responses to enquiries from regulators and law enforcement agencies.
- Assist with the testing and improvement of compliance systems, controls and processes.
- Identify and escalate higher-risk or unusual matters in line with internal procedures.
ABOUT YOU
Essential
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a compliance, AML, financial crime or similar role within financial services or another regulated environment.
- Practical experience of KYC/KYB and customer due diligence.
- Experience reviewing transaction monitoring alerts or investigating unusual activity.
- An understanding of risk-based customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Desirable
- Experience conducting due diligence on corporate customers and complex ownership structures.
- Experience using KYC/KYB, sanctions screening or transaction monitoring platforms.
- Familiarity with Canadian AML/ATF requirements and FINTRAC.
- An AML or compliance qualification, such as ICA or ACAMS, or working towards one.
