About this role

Compliance Business Partner | London | 2/3 days a week in the office | £65,000 IRO

IDEX Consulting are currently partnered with a global insurance broking business on an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step into a Business Partner role.

This is a great opportunity to move beyond a traditional risk or compliance role and gain genuine exposure to the business, working closely with senior stakeholders across the London insurance market.

You’ll join an established, senior Risk & Compliance team where you’ll benefit from strong training, coaching and development, while being given the opportunity to build your own stakeholder relationships and develop into a trusted Business Partner.

The role will see you working alongside the business on new products, processes, operating models, regulatory change and strategic initiatives, providing advice, challenge and practical solutions rather than simply reviewing from the sidelines.

What makes this role stand out?

  • A genuine step-up opportunity into a Business Partner position.
  • Excellent access and exposure to senior stakeholders and Directors.
  • Join a highly experienced Risk & Compliance team with strong training and development.
  • Become embedded in the business and understand how a major insurance broking operation works.
  • Gain broad exposure across risk, compliance, governance, regulatory change and business transformation.
  • International exposure, working within a global insurance business.

Key responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance Advice – Provide practical compliance advice to the business on key regulations, helping stakeholders understand requirements and apply them effectively.
  • Sanctions, Licensing & Cross-Border Advisory – Advise on international sanctions, licensing requirements and cross-border regulatory considerations across the London insurance market.
  • Compliance Policy Implementation – Support the implementation of compliance policies and regulatory changes, working closely with the business to embed requirements into day-to-day processes.
  • TOBA Management – Oversee and advise on Terms of Business Agreements (TOBAs), ensuring appropriate compliance, governance and risk considerations are addressed.

What are they looking for?

You’ll need London insurance market experience, ideally gained within an insurance broker, insurer, Lloyd’s or related market environment.
