About this role

Compliance Manager | Reinsurance | London |

I’m exclusively recruiting for a Compliance Manager with a specialist reinsurance business in the London market.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong reinsurance compliance experience who wants to take ownership of a broad compliance remit. They’re open to someone stepping up into their first management role, as well as an experienced Compliance Manager.

What the role covers

  • Owning the compliance policies and procedures framework and annual Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • FCA regulatory reporting end-to-end, including internal review and approval
  • Licensing documentation, permissions and renewals across the operating entities
  • Broker TOBA management and annual broker checks
  • Managing the outsourced compliance provider
  • Coordinating internal audits and external control testing
  • Governance and company secretarial support, including Board and committee coordination
  • Compliance training, Board reporting and issue management
  • Supporting the reinsurance entity and European branch/operations

What they’re looking for

  • Reinsurance experience is essential
  • Compliance experience within an insurer or reinsurer, ideally within the London market
  • Strong, hands-on FCA regulatory reporting experience
  • Someone comfortable getting into the detail and managing the day-to-day compliance agenda
  • International / European entity or branch experience would be beneficial

Useful but not essential: SOX control testing, GDPR/privacy exposure and OneTrust (or similar).
