About this role

Compliance Manager

London

We are working with a highly international business looking to appoint a Compliance Manager into a newly created role within its London team.

Operating across Europe, the Americas, Middle East, Africa and Asia, the business is continuing to expand into new markets and service areas. As a result, it is investing in its global compliance capability and is looking for someone to help build, develop and ultimately lead its compliance programme internationally.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious compliance professional looking to move beyond a purely operational role and take genuine ownership of a developing function.

The role

Working closely with the Legal team and senior stakeholders internationally, you will:

  • Develop and strengthen the global compliance programme across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Take ownership of AML, KYC and customer/counterparty onboarding processes.
  • Develop ongoing monitoring, periodic review and due diligence frameworks.
  • Oversee and support sanctions compliance, screening and regulatory updates.
  • Develop the business's approach to third-party and service-provider due diligence.
  • Support anti-bribery and corruption compliance and wider regulatory requirements.
  • Design and deliver compliance training across international offices.
  • Work with regional teams to embed consistent global compliance standards.
  • Advise stakeholders on emerging compliance and financial crime risks.
  • Help build the compliance function, with planned regional resource internationally.
  • Over time, take responsibility for managing an international compliance team.

The role will have significant international exposure, with some overseas travel expected, particularly during the initial build-out of the programme.

About you

We're interested in speaking with compliance professionals with strong experience across areas such as:

  • AML / KYC
  • Financial crime
  • Sanctions
  • Customer and counterparty due diligence
  • Third-party risk
  • Compliance programme development
