We are seeking highly organised and proactive Compliance Officers to join our Estates team and play a key role in ensuring our campuses remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose for students, staff and visitors. We are seeking three posts, one post for each of our Colleges -Uxbridge and Hayes, Harrow-on-the-Hill and Harrow Weald, and Richmond.

Working closely with our designated Health, Safety and Compliance Partner (currently Plumsun) and on-site estates team colleagues, you will take responsibility for supporting statutory compliance across our estate, ensuring that all buildings, systems and processes meet legislative requirements and industry best practice.

Key responsibilities of the role

  • Working with Facilities teams to book servicing and maintenance
  • Updating compliance records on the portal
  • Maintaining the Fire Risk assessments action log
  • Ensuring compliance across all areas of Mechanical and Electrical alongside our M&E Partner
  • Weekly reporting and action tracking
  • Carrying out on-site checks, inspections and audits
  • Ensuring that contractors on site are working safely

We are looking for a proactive, highly organised individual who can demonstrate the following:

  • IOSH Working Safely Qualification
  • Experience working within a Facilities or similar service department including experience of working with contractors
  • Good knowledge and experience of Estates & Facilities services and of building operations
  • Excellent organisational and record-management skills.
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety, and experience of carrying out Health and Safety within the working environment
  • Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
