Job Overview: • Support the Risk Analyst in the monitoring and collection of Risk Management Information (MI) which will be subsequently used for internal and external reporting and stress testing. • To assist in the day-to-day aspects of the risk function as directed by the Risk Manager.

Duties

  • Assist the Risk Analyst in preparing, analysing and presenting daily and monthly management information including the Risk Dashboard to be presented to the ALCO with the aim of being able to fully act as a back-up in the longer term
  • Monitoring and review of daily and periodic KRIs related to such as liquidity, country limits, market, portfolio credit risks etc. Escalating in accordance with agreed EWI
  • Prepare monthly country risk analysis and monitoring of the Banks sovereign risk profile using OSINT analysis
  • Prepare annual Sovereign risk assessment reports for presentation to the BCC
  • Prepare annual Sovereign Climate Risk Study for the Banks core countries
  • Assist with the collection and reporting of operational risk issues
  • Take minutes for the Operational Risk Committee
  • Assist with the development and calibration of the Operational Resilience framework
  • Collaborate with other departments to expedite operational risk reporting to appropriate existing channels for investigation, resolution and recording (via Self-Assessment and Arc Logics)
  • Supporting tasks to promote awareness and understanding of operational risk for all staff members
  • Assist in the preparation of the Business Continuity Plan, execution and mitigation
  • Assist in the renewal of Bank Insurances annually
  • Assist the Risk Manager in the development of a management processes to identify and evaluate business area’s risks
  • Assist with the management and delivery of departmental Risk & Control Self – Assessments (RCSAs - Operations Department)
  • Assist the Risk Manager in ad-hoc Risk Framework and development projects that may arise (for example, including the new Model management framework and Operational Resiliency SS1/21)
  • Prepare first draft policy amendments where necessary to be reviewed by the Risk Manager or HRC

Qualifications, experience and skillset requirements

  • Education: Graduate or Post-Graduate in Maths/Economics/Finance/Engineering/Computer Science
  • Experience: 1-2 years preferable however strong academic candidates will be considered
  • Numeracy and literacy
  • Good Microsoft Excel and Word (Competency in Excel is a requirement, programming and macros preferable)
  • Ability to quickly grasp regulations and then apply knowledge to a variety of different scenarios
  • Excellent accuracy and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Self-starter and quick learner
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish relationships at across all levels.
