This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who takes pride in delivering exceptional standards and wants to play a key role in the continued growth and development of our business.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to oversee cleaning quality, operational compliance and service delivery standards across our nationwide portfolio.
Working independently from our operational management teams and reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for conducting site inspections, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring our contracts consistently meet company and client expectations.
This is a predominantly field-based role requiring regular travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled and unannounced quality control inspections across our national cleaning contracts.
- Assess cleaning standards against agreed specifications, service level agreements (SLAs) and company expectations.
- Complete detailed site audit reports, including photographic evidence, quality scores and recommendations.
- Identify areas of poor performance and ensure corrective actions are assigned and completed within agreed timescales.
- Work closely with Operations Managers and site teams to drive continuous service improvements.
- Monitor recurring cleaning issues, client complaints and operational performance.
- Carry out follow-up inspections to verify that identified issues have been resolved.
- Assess cleaning equipment, materials, consumables, staff presentation and site documentation.
- Support compliance with relevant health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with quality inspections during new contract mobilisations.
- Produce weekly and monthly performance reports for senior management.
- Identify opportunities for additional staff training and improvements to cleaning procedures.
- Promote a consistent culture of accountability, professionalism and high standards throughout the business.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have
- Previous experience within commercial cleaning, facilities management, quality assurance or operational management.
- A strong understanding of professional cleaning standards and procedures.
- Experience conducting site inspections, audits or performance assessments.
- Excellent attention to detail and the confidence to challenge poor standards professionally.
- Strong communication, organisational and reporting skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage a nationwide inspection schedule.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and digital reporting systems.
- A professional, approachable and solutions-focused attitude.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel nationally and stay overnight when required.
Experience managing commercial cleaning contracts, conducting quality audits or working within a multi-site facilities management environment would be particularly advantageous.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary of £35,000–£38,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Company car, provided for business travel.
- Business expenses covered, including fuel, parking, hotels and approved travel-related costs.

- Company laptop and mobile phone.
- Workplace pension scheme.
- Paid annual leave, including statutory entitlement.
- Ongoing professional development and training.
- Opportunities for career progression as the business continues to expand.
- The opportunity to develop and influence quality standards across a growing national organisation.
