Join us as an Operational Resilience Support Manager

  • In this specialist role, you'll support the implementation and ongoing evolution of the Operational Resilience framework, within NatWest Markets
  • We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of NatWest Markets, or experience gained within a Markets business, who can analyse complex information and translate it into clear, actionable insights
  • This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your knowledge of Operational Resilience while building on your Markets understanding and stakeholder network

What you'll do

As an Operational Resilience Support Manager, you'll support the delivery, embedding and continual improvement of Operational Resilience across NatWest Markets. Working closely with business, technology and functional teams, you'll help ensure that resilience considerations are effectively integrated into decision-making and business change activities.

A key part of the role will be understanding complex business processes, products, services and dependencies, analysing information from multiple sources, and articulating findings and recommendations clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.

You'll also be

  • Working with stakeholders to provide guidance, from an Operational Resilience perspective, on the proposed designs of new or changing products, processes, and IT services, providing feedback and challenge
  • Collaborating with your team to provide insights into best practice and using analysis, experience, and judgement to provide a view of resilience
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to establish strong relationships with business and functional leads
  • Supporting the development of resilience plans and making sure they are, and remain, fit for purpose

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with strong influencing, communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to operate effectively at all levels. You'll also need a good understanding of financial services, and experience in IT or operational risk management.

In addition to this, you'll demonstrate

  • A good knowledge of NatWest Markets (NWM*)* or other Markets business with a strong understanding of products, services, processes and operating models.
  • Good knowledge of key technology services and service delivery and management disciplines
  • An excellent understanding of operational resilience disciplines and regulatory expectations
  • Good knowledge of risk management and controls in financial services
