Description

Help Shape Compliance That Enables Growth

We're looking for someone who enjoys turning complex policies and regulatory requirements into practical processes that help teams work effectively and customers receive an exceptional experience.

As our Policy & Compliance Manager, you'll help ensure our services remain compliant while enabling the business to scale efficiently. You'll work across legal, product, engineering, operations, customer support, and external partners to identify risks, improve processes, coordinate audits, and embed compliance into the way we work every day.

12 month Fixed Term Contract

What You'll Deliver

Compliance & Governance

  • Interpret and apply industry-specific policies, contractual requirements, and regulatory obligations, including those relating to domain name registration services, registry partners, and ICANN frameworks.
  • Develop and improve compliance processes, controls, and operating procedures.
  • Monitor compliance obligations and identify potential gaps or risks before they become issues.
  • Support ongoing compliance programmes including ISO 27001 and other recognised governance frameworks.

Audit & Risk Management

  • Coordinate internal and external audits, evidence collection, and remediation activities.
  • Conduct compliance reviews, risk assessments, and control effectiveness evaluations.
  • Maintain audit documentation, risk registers, and compliance reporting.
  • Drive corrective actions through to completion and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Compliance Technology & Automation

  • Work with compliance and governance platforms such as Vanta, Sprinto, or similar tools to manage controls, evidence collection, monitoring, and audit readiness.
  • Leverage technology and automation to improve compliance visibility, operational efficiency, and reporting.
  • Help teams adopt scalable compliance processes that reduce manual effort while maintaining control effectiveness.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes while maintaining compliance standards.
  • Support regulatory change management and policy implementation projects.
  • Develop meaningful compliance reporting, metrics, and insights for leadership teams.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Collaborate with legal, engineering, product, operations, customer support, customer success, and external partners.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to help teams understand and meet compliance requirements.
  • Communicate complex compliance topics in a clear and practical way to a wide range of audiences.

Skills That Will Help You Succeed

We're interested in your skills and capabilities rather than a specific career path.

Compliance & Risk Expertise

You'll partner with teams across the business to embed compliance into everyday operations, coordinate audits, strengthen risk management practices, and ensure our services continue to meet regulatory, contractual, registry partner, and industry policy obligations.

ISO 27001 Knowledge

You understand ISO 27001 principles and can support audits, control management, evidence gathering, remediation activities, and ongoing certification requirements.

Audit Management

You can plan, coordinate, and support internal and external audits while managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Compliance Tooling

You have experience using Vanta, or similar compliance management platforms to support audit readiness, evidence management, and control monitoring.

Process Improvement

You can identify inefficiencies, simplify workflows, and implement scalable solutions that balance compliance and business objectives.

Stakeholder Influence

You build trusted relationships across teams and can communicate complex topics clearly and confidently.

Analytical Thinking

You can investigate issues, identify root causes, assess impacts, and make practical recommendations.

You'll Thrive Here If You

  • Enjoy solving complex problems
  • Like creating order from ambiguity
  • Take ownership and drive outcomes
  • Build strong relationships across teams
  • Embrace new technology and automation
  • Are curious, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement

Success in This Role

You'll Know You're Making An Impact When

  • Compliance obligations are clearly understood across the business
  • Audits run smoothly and efficiently
  • Risks are identified and addressed early
  • Teams see compliance as an enabler rather than a barrier
  • ISO 27001 and related compliance activities are well-managed and audit-ready
  • Compliance tooling such as Vanta is being used effectively to support governance and operational excellence
