About this role

Mission Care Associate Ltd is looking for an experienced, highly organised and proactive Recruitment, Compliance & Accounts Officer to join our Head Office team in Wigan.

We operate two care homes and are looking for someone who can take ownership of recruitment, staff compliance and day-to-day accounts administration, ensuring our homes are well supported and our records remain accurate, up to date and compliant.

This is a varied role with significant responsibility and would suit someone who is confident working independently, managing multiple priorities and maintaining high standards of confidentiality and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & HR

· Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for our care homes.

· Advertise vacancies, shortlist candidates and coordinate interviews.

· Complete pre-employment checks, including DBS, references and right-to-work checks.

· Coordinate new starter onboarding and maintain accurate employee records.

· Monitor staffing requirements and work closely with care home managers.

· Maintain recruitment and HR documentation.

Compliance

· Maintain comprehensive staff compliance records.

· Monitor DBS checks, references, right-to-work documentation and other required checks.

· Track mandatory training, qualifications, certificates and renewal dates.

· Ensure employee files are complete, accurate and audit-ready.

· Support preparation for internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.

· Assist management with maintaining high standards of compliance across both homes.

Accounts & Administration

· Support day-to-day accounts and finance administration.

· Process invoices, expenses and payments.

· Maintain accurate financial records and spreadsheets.

· Assist with payroll administration and reconciliation.

· Liaise with suppliers and external professionals where required.

· Provide general administrative support to the management team.

About You

· Experienced in recruitment, HR administration, compliance and/or accounts.

· Ideally experienced within healthcare, social care or care homes.

· Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

· Confident handling confidential and sensitive information.

· Able to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.

· Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

· Professional, reliable, approachable and proactive.

· Able to communicate effectively with managers, staff, candidates and external organisations.

Desirable Experience

· Care home recruitment and safer recruitment processes.

· CQC-related compliance and inspections.

· DBS and staff compliance systems.

· Care sector mandatory training requirements.

· Payroll administration.

· Bookkeeping/accounts software.

· HR or employee management systems.

Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
