Security Assurance & Risk Manager - 6 month initial contract - Hybrid working (Edinburgh or London) - Inside IR35

Job Description

Our UK based client are looking for a Security Assurance & Risk Manager to support their wider Security Platform. This will require candidates to work 2 days per week in either the London or Scottish Central belt office. This role will also be Inside IR35

Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive cyber and information security risk assessments of suppliers.
• Plan, scope and deliver detailed security reviews.
• Assess risk levels and identify IT control deficiencies.
• Design, evaluate and test control frameworks for risk management.
• Identify and propose process improvements.
• Help to build and maintain a high‑performing security assurance team.
• Use strong stakeholder management skills to engage with business areas.

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of a broad range of technologies and their associated cyber and information security risks.
• Experience working in IT risk and controls audit.
• Background in IT information security.
• Experience in third‑party assurance and risk assessment within cyber security or IT audit environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence people at all organisational levels.
• Strong analytical skills.
