Security Assurance & Risk Manager - 6 month initial contract - Hybrid working (Edinburgh or London) - Inside IR35
Job Description
Our UK based client are looking for a Security Assurance & Risk Manager to support their wider Security Platform. This will require candidates to work 2 days per week in either the London or Scottish Central belt office. This role will also be Inside IR35
Responsibilities
- Carry out comprehensive cyber and information security risk assessments of suppliers.
- Plan, scope and deliver detailed security reviews.
- Assess risk levels and identify IT control deficiencies.
- Design, evaluate and test control frameworks for risk management.
- Identify and propose process improvements.
- Help to build and maintain a high‑performing security assurance team.
- Use strong stakeholder management skills to engage with business areas.
Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of a broad range of technologies and their associated cyber and information security risks.
- Experience working in IT risk and controls audit.
- Background in IT information security.
- Experience in third‑party assurance and risk assessment within cyber security or IT audit environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence people at all organisational levels.
- Strong analytical skills.
