About this role
Senior Compliance Monitoring Associate - Pensions
London | Hybrid | Permanent
Ready to take ownership of compliance reviews and make your recommendations count?
I’m supporting an established pensions and investment organisation looking for an experienced compliance monitoring professional to join its team.
This role offers the opportunity to lead thematic reviews, work closely with stakeholders and influence improvements across the business.
The role
Working with the Compliance Monitoring Manager, you’ll own reviews from initial planning through to reporting and follow-up. You’ll:
- Lead thematic reviews across the annual monitoring plan.
- Assess compliance, identify risks and recommend practical improvements.
- Produce clear terms of reference and reports that turn findings into action.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, providing constructive challenge.
- Track agreed actions through to completion.
- Support wider monitoring activity and share expertise across the team.
What you’ll bring
- Strong experience delivering thematic compliance reviews, typically five years or more, within pensions, asset management or wealth management.
- Good knowledge of The Pensions Regulator’s requirements and General Code of Practice.
- An understanding of UK occupational pensions, including DB, DC and Master Trust arrangements, and the key processes involved in pension administration.
- Working knowledge of FCA rules relevant to retail financial services.
- Clear, confident writing and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage reviews independently while working collaboratively with colleagues.
A relevant professional qualification would be advantageous.
If you enjoy getting beneath the surface, asking the right questions and turning findings into meaningful improvements, I’d welcome a conversation.
About compliance & regulatory roles for ex-police
Compliance, AML and regulatory roles. Working to PACE, RIPA and CPIA is a stronger regulatory grounding than most civilian applicants can offer — firms increasingly recognise this.
