Our client, a global trading firm, is looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Officer to join their office in London, taking ownership of trade reporting and playing a key role in strengthening the compliance function.

Our client, a global trading firm, is looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Officer to join their office in London, taking ownership of trade reporting and playing a key role in strengthening the compliance function.

This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to progress towards an SMF16/17 role within the next couple of years.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Owning and overseeing trade reporting across the business
  • Supporting regulatory monitoring and market surveillance activity
  • Work with tools such as SteelEye (or similar systems)
  • Helping improve compliance processes and internal controls
  • Supporting and developing junior team members

You will need to have the following

  • 7–10 years’ compliance experience in financial services or trading
  • Strong knowledge of trade reporting requirements
  • Experience with market surveillance tools (e.g. SteelEye or equivalent)
  • Strong communicator with leadership potential
  • Futures/derivatives experience preferred
  • LME experience is a plus, not essential
