Purpose of the Role

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality improvement, compliance, and maintaining high standards within health and social care.

You will play a key role in monitoring service quality, identifying risks and areas for improvement, supporting staff with documentation standards, and ensuring our care services continue to meet regulatory requirements and organisational expectations.

· Performing routine risk assessments to help with production of packages of care.

· Understanding compliance risk, scope and significance

· Monitoring the organisation’s compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with the relevant legislation.

· Auditing and recording findings properly and following up with management to ensure the issues are rectified.

· Assisting in the gathering of information internally in response to requests by regulatory organisations.

· Performing administrative tasks such as file creation and maintaining files of ongoing projects

· Collaborating with management from other departments to ensure compliance and investigating irregularities.

· Always keeping management abreast of the current compliance situation.

· Conduct regular and comprehensive audits of service user care files, including care plans, risk assessments, assessments, reviews, consent forms, and supporting documentation.

· Complete audits of MAR charts, medication records, daily notes, visit records, and electronic care records to ensure accuracy and compliance

· Review carers’ documentation to identify missing information, poor recording practices, inconsistencies, or areas requiring improvement.

· Monitor compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding procedures, GDPR requirements, and internal policies.

· Produce detailed audit reports highlighting findings, actions required, recommendations, and areas of good practice.

· Track audit outcomes and follow up on action plans to ensure improvements are completed within agreed timescales.

· Identify trends, recurring issues, and risks, providing feedback to management to support continuous improvement.

· Support investigations into complaints, incidents, safeguarding concerns, missed visits, or quality issues through reviewing records and audit findings.

· Carry out spot checks, file reviews, and quality assurance checks to monitor standards of care delivery.

· Work closely with care coordinators, registered managers, and carers to improve documentation standards and compliance.

· Provide guidance and support to staff regarding accurate recording, care documentation, and regulatory expectations.

· Maintain accurate audit records, compliance trackers, and quality monitoring documentation.

· Support preparation for CQC inspections by ensuring records and evidence are complete, organised, and inspection ready.

What We Are Looking for

Essential

• 2 years in working in compliance
• Experience in care sector - preferably domiciliary care/Supported Living
• Exceptional communications skills – verbal and written
• Positive, bubbly personality
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, GDPR, and care quality standards.
• Experience reviewing or auditing care documentation, client files, or staff records.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, gaps, and compliance concerns.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple audits and deadlines.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear audit reports.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
• Good knowledge of electronic care management systems and digital care records.
• Competent using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, andOutlook.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with wider teams.

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
